The inaugural Mustache Open two man scramble took place in June of 1999. It was held at Ashland Country Club in Ashland, NE and consisted of 30 dudes sporting sweet staches. Aside from flag prizes, prizes were given to the best team and to those sporting the best, dirtiest, and worst mustaches. Over the past seven years the tournament has grown to well over 100 players and the venue has changed to Crooked Creek Golf Club in Lincoln, NE. The list of great local sponsors has grown each year and has helped to make for a great tournament with prizes.

The Mustache Open has not only been about playing golf but has also evolved into a tournament about style and of course……….kick ass mustaches. Prizes are not only given to the top teams participating in the tournament but also those teams and individuals who best embody the spirit of The Mustache Open. The most coveted of prizes are The Mustache Open lounge jackets given to the top two man team.

The future of The Mustache Open will include tournaments in a variety of cities around the country. The winning two man team from each tournament will be flown to Vegas for a Mustache Open Tournament of Champions to crown the best of the best.

As The Mustache Open continues to grow and change one thing will always remain the same.
